New law standardizes the index of monetary and interest correction when not provided for in contracts or specific law

On July 1, 2024, Law no. 14.905/2024, which amended articles 389, 395, 404, 406, 418 and 772 of the Brazilian Civil Code to standardize the application of monetary correction and interest in cases where the applicable index was not established by law or contract.
