Five years of the General Data Protection Law in Brazil: advances, challenges and perspectives

Law No. 13,709 of August 14, 2018, known as the General Data Protection Law or simply LGPD, was enacted in August 2020 and has since had a significant impact on personal data protection in the country, seeking to mark treatment guarantees warranties adequate and safe from such data to protect the citizen.
