A package of measures to contain the impact of coronavirus advancement in Brazil was announced on Monday, March 16, by the Minister of Economy Paulo Guedes. < / span>

Among the measures announced, we emphasize some that will have immediate impact on companies and tax burden:

  • Deferment of the FGTS payment term for 3 months;
  • Deferring the part of the Union on the simple national for 3 months;
  • approximately R $ 5 billion credit / fat credit for micro and small businesses;
  • 50% reduction in system contributions for 3 months;
  • Simplification of the requirements for contracting credit and documentation dispensation (CND) for credit renegotiation;
  • Facilitation of unpacking inputs and industrial raw materials imported prior to landing.
  • Zero reduction of import rates for medical-hospital use products until the end of the year;
  • Temporary IPI exemption for imported goods listed that are necessary to combat Covid-19; and
  • Temporary IPI exemption for internally listed goods that are needed to combat Covid-19.
