During the last weekend, on February 23 to 25, Florianópolis was the stage of the "Global Legal Hackathon", a worldwide marathon focused on the integration of the legal community with the technology and innovation industry, with the purpose of developing Technologies for the improvement of justice as a whole.

The Softplan headquarters in Santa Cataria, was the Brazilian host host, which was attended by a CARPENA lawyers team, which has been following the new technological trends aimed at the legal segment and what is in evidence in this market.

During the three days of the event, ten teams worked on projects that had as main focus the creation of tools or systems to minimize judicial demands, aiming to challenge the judiciary, facilitate the access of the population to the judiciary and tobureaucate access to justice.

The theme of each group was chosen by each team's own members, who presented their projects on the last day of the event. Relevant themes and social interest were highlighted, such as the creation of an integrated system of maps and legislation on urban construction, with the aim of assisting architects, engineers and the builder itself in the initial process that precedes to construction; system aimed at facilitating the access of the population needed to medications without the need for judicial demand against public power; And, finally, the great winner dealt with the prison system and fulfillment control.

The winning team presented a proposal for a development of an application so that detainments in compliance with semi-long regime can present themselves monthly to the authority responsible for regulating the penalty "in a digital way" rather than doing it personally. The application that enables this innovation is worth facial recognition technology, GPRS triangulation geolocation and GPS coordinates.

On March 11, the winning team will defend your thesis at the 'SecondPitchingrant / First Global Route' event, which will take place in New York with the participation of teams from 60 countries.
